Okay I have not got any confirmation for Prostatitis but all symptoms point to it. To make things worse I have not had a good  early morning erection the past week. I doubt it is going to be the good acute prostratits since I have not had sex with anyone ever  Smiley I have my tests this week starting with urinalysis and WBC. I just hope that I have some good news by weekend.
In any case the more I read about this problem, the more I am worried about my future. Even if I am not diagnosed, I guess these questions would be useful for some one else.
1. The biggest question, was anyone who had prostatitis as a young male able to find some girl to marry or are we to spend the rest of life all alone?
2. What is the relapse time between two episodes and how long does it usually go?
3. What about your job?? How has this affected. (I have had some strange tingling in my testicles and pain in my legs but I have been able to give my 90%. Of course reading online, I see that this pain is going to get worse)
4. I am already sad at the prospect of being diagnosed with this. How do you guys cope with any depression? Do your friends and family members know about this?? Is it okay to tell them. My parents are going to probably live for another decade or so and I would not want to sadden them.
5. Anyone ever had success in getting rid of this?? Since I am just 25 and the avg. expectency is 75, am I to live with this for another 50 years !!!  Shocked
6. My doctor suggested that this might be caused due to some problem in my back, since everything started with a lower back pain. Has any had success wiht prostatitis wiht lower back treatment??

Lot of questions. Sorry about that. I am just so sad and thought I did be prepared if at all I get this verdict from my doc. The bright side among all this is the good old Canadian System atleast keeps my medical worries aside for now...

Your life now is affected. How strong - it depends on pain/symptoms level.

It is really depressing thing. It sure will make you depressed sometimes.
but you have to treat prostatitis, dont let it flow it way !
You may tell your friends and family members it will help you a lot to cope with it.

Chronic - mean chronic, it is really really hard to get rid of it. But you can make all symptoms very very insignificant. So it will not disturb your life.

F*ucking bullshit - your symptoms had nothing with your back problem.
Tell your doc that he is dumb.
