Okay this is what I have been going through so far. Will update as I get any confirmation
1. Constant back pain
2. Urinating a lot (I am not sure if this is related as I keep drinking a lot of water anyways)
3. Urgent need to urinate (this has been there for over a month and I did not really think it was any symptom)
4. Burning sensation on my right thigh
5. Tingling in my right testicles on a couple of occassions
6. Erectile dysfunction for the past few days. When I had (5) I woke up with a good erection the next day. After that it is history.
7. Pain in legs
8. At times burning sensation in my anus.
9. Pain in penis at times
10. Burning sensation at tip of penis
11. General body ache and feeling not too good
Everything other than 3, appeared like a week before. Doc. said it might be prostatitis. But might have to do with some muscle problem (probably doc. was trying to not worry me too much). Will do my first tests next week. Let us hope for the best.

It seems like our symptoms are somewhat the same, such as the backache, frequent urination, and leg pain.
I'm living with it right now. It started the beginning of 2009 for me. I'm on uroxatral and am just hanging in there.
Good luck, and please provide us with updates.

I don't believe I had a PCR test done. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll ask my urologist for one next time I am in. Where can I find information about the test?
Here is a quick rundown of my symptoms:
A few months into starting a job where I sit all day:
- Jan. 2009, burning sensation in penis after urinating. Burning sensation between my legs. Felt like a golfball was between my legs when sitting and at night, say 3:00AM. Generally felt unwell.
-Prescribed 500 MG Ciprofloxacin twice a day for several weeks. That helped but didn't cure it.
-March, 2009. Finished the Ciprofloxain. Went to urologist. He indicated that the inflamation could remain even though the bacteria is gone. Low urine flow and volume.
-May, 2009, started on Uroxatral. Had a cystoscopy. Doctor said I had a benign enlargement of the prostate.
-June, 2009, urodynamics test showed high pressure in my bladder. Doctor indicated that high pressure could push urine into the prostate, thereby inflaming it. Seems like a viscious circle- high pressure inflames the prostate which results in high pressure.
- July, Aug, back pains and pains down my left leg.
-Sept. 2009, I felt better for a few weeks, but now it's up and down. I'm not myself and don't ever really feel normal.
I've had prostate problems before, but never this bad.

Thanks for the reply. I think the intial urine test is to check if my WBC is high. Also to check for diabetes. Depending on that my doctor would give referal. In any case I have been doing extremely well over the past week. Minor burning sensation throughout the body during the mornings. Evenings I am myself. Only major problem for the past 1.5 weeks is ED. Hopefully that will get better. I am also doing some exercises as suggested in the other forum (CP.com). I have also ordered the book a headache in the pelvis. Many people seem to have controlled the chronic condition through execrices and I am going to give it a chance as well. Had a PT appointment last monday and that reduced my burning in my inner thighs. Will keep you updated on my future tests...
